Surgery Update

Our kids all arrived safely last night about 8:30 and were so glad to be home and with all the kids around them. Ben did well during the surgery---it looks like they just pierced right into the "heart" of it, from what I can see of the bandaged area. The risk of surgery stimulating the tumor to become active made us not want this surgery at all, but it was needed. They checked his blood counts the next morning and his platelets, hemoglobin and all were down by about half--amazing that that could happen in less than 24 hours, but they let the kids take him home anyway and he will be on a low dose of steroids all week with labs at the end of the week to monitor it. We appreciate your thoughts and your prayers, more than you can know--please remember him in your prayer times ---bless you all during this special season of love and light. Jane

Let Us Praise our God & King

We serve an mighty and awesome God! How blessed we are to know Him and to be known as His! I want to let you all know that our grandson, precious Floyd Benjamin is now 7 and 1/2 months old and is like a different child since you all have been praying. I cannot tell you how grateful we all are to God for putting him on your hearts and for doing a wonder in him and in each of us.

He had labs in late November and blood work showed his hemoglobin up from 10 to 12, and his blood platelets up to 379,000! He is a bundle of energy, just learning to sit up 3 weeks ago, and now crawling and pulled himself up to a standing position in his crib--this is significant because he feels strong enough to do it and because as the tumor has retreated from the muscle in his leg and calf, it doesn't hurt to stand on it. What a joy. For the first time since he was born, the diameter of each leg is the same. Except for the blue discoloration, they look the same. Everytime I lay hands on his leg to pray, there is a difference. God is moving and it is so exciting.

He is in Cincinnati Children's hospital this week Tuesday for appointments and tests, Wednesday for biopsy surgery of the leg, home Friday. Please do pray for the Lord's protection around him during this week and for the skill of the surgeon and great wisdom for the doctors involved. We are believing for every single tumor cell to be destroyed and completely removed from his body. Thank you so very much!

Jane

Update

I don't have anything official on Ben--no more tests have been taken, but his leg continues to slim down and become more normal in size. It is still discolored, but not nearly as much as it was.

Tell Me the Stories of Jesus

Ben loves music. His grandmother and I think he will sing this well when he is older. Zoe has some amazing videos on YouTube. Please let Zoe sing for you.

Listening to praise music brings much healing as does laughter. Praise the Lord today and laugh a little.

Prayers & Platelets Update

Lab tests taken Thursday showed Benjamin's blood platelets are up significantly---245,000 from 150,000 taken two and a half weeks ago at the hospital. Though still very discolored, the size of the leg continues to shrink and we can begin to see and feel his ankle bone. He looks and acts well and laughs at everything. We are so grateful to our Heavenly Father for every single bit of improvement and ask that you join us in prayer for him whenever the Holy Spirit prompts you to, as well as for peace and ever growing faith for his parents Floyd and Sandi. We are privileged to be witnessing a miracle of healing and it is so exciting! Our God is so awesome and so able. To Him be the glory and honor forever. Love in Him, Jane

Good News

Throughout this week, we have been privileged to witness a miracle and want to share it with you. Little Benjamin is full of energy, bright eyed, and funny. The skin on his right leg is smoother and lighter in color, the leg softer where it had been very firm from ankle to upper calf and very blue and purple, the actual diameter of the tumor is smaller and his ankle (where it seemed to start) is beginning to be more defined. I can begin to feel the achilles tendon just above his heel where we couldn't before, and he is now "standing" on my tummy when I hold him up, like his twin sister does, pushing his legs up against me. Before, he wouldn't try and would just let his leg collapse. His weekly doctor appointment was a joy: his pediatrician smiled and said he really needed to see this as he had to admit a baby to the hospital earlier.

We are giving glory to our Father, who in the power of the Spirit and in answer to believing, mighty prayer, is turning this around for His glory and honor. Is anything too hard for Him? Is there anyone like Him? Be encouraged, fear not! If God is with us, who can possibly be against us? Our gratitude is without measure.

I am praying for each of you who have prayed, a perfect prayer from the Word of God: Ephesians 1:17-20 "that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe, These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places." Amen. Be abundantly blessed. In Him, Jane

Concert of Prayer

Many people are praying for our precious grandson Benjamin and I feel updates for those praying and for those who are passing this on to other prayer warriors are so important, so wanted to send this out to be passed on:

Tests run at Cincinnati Children's hospital showed that his heart is normal! Praise God, for they were looking for an enlarged heart with all the work the heart has had to do. And, his blood platelet levels have increased! At the time of the test, they were not yet normal but had increased. God is moving in his little body and we are so grateful for the concert of prayer of agreement with the Word of God that is going up for Ben and for his parents Sandi and Floyd bringing them before the very throne of our Father God.

The diagnosis is a kind of vascular tumor that is growing in the blood vessels of his right leg and into the muscle tissue. Because of its nature, it cannot be cut out, BUT....we know that Jesus bore this affliction in His Body on the Cross, so it has no right or place in Benjamin and by the authority He has given to us as believers in His Name, we come against this totally and command it to cease now. Also, "The word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." Heb.4:12 How much more can our praying and speaking the Word of God over Benjamin, cut away any harmful cells from every tissue?!

I would like to say that I believe God has already done more in Ben's body than we realize: he had been lethargic and had a "sick" look in his eyes that was really hard to bear for a few days before we all began to pray. Today he is cute, smiling, trying to get to all his toys, bright-eyed. We can only say,"Thank you, Father for all you are doing--to You belongs the glory, and thank you to all the prayer warriors who have taken this lovely little boy to their hearts and to the Father in prayer." Floyd Benjamin's Story

I first met Jane, Benjamin's grandmother in person at the Order of St Luke's North American conference in San Antonio a couple of years ago. This is her grandson's story:

This is our precious grandson, Floyd Benjamin, who is just 5 months old. He has had a swelling in his right leg which an initial report indicates may be a rare vascular tumor that can destroy blood platelets and cause an enlarged heart.

We are praying in agreement that this would be completely reversed and totally healed according to the mighty power of God moving even now in Benjamin. Please join with us in praying that

1. God would receive all glory and honor as He heals Benjamin

2. We would believe and receive only the report of the Lord about him, that Jesus Christ triumphed over this infirmity on His cross and that it has no place in Benjamin. Isaiah 53:1 and :5

3. Benjamin walks before the Lord with a perfect heart. Isaiah 38:3

4. The life of God within Benjamin dissolves any growth or tumor and his health is totally restored. Mark 11:23

5. What God has not planted in Benjamin is being rooted out of his body. Luke 17:6, Mark 11:23

6. We continually speak God's Word over Ben, and it is a part of him, flowing to every cell of his body, restoring and transforming him. John 1:14; Psalm 107:20

7. Every cell that does not promote life and health in his body is cut off now from its life source; his immune system will not allow destructive cells to multiply. Luke 17:6, Mark 11:23

8. God will grant Benjamin and his parents, Sandi and Floyd, and all of us who love them, growing faith, grace, strength and wisdom for each day

May God bless you abundantly and meet every need as you bring this sweet child before His throne of grace. Please pass this on to those who will pray and stand firm with us.

In His love, Jerry and Jane

Thank you blogging sisters for your prayers and love! Annette
